![]() The parallel reactor system accelerates syntheses that used to be time-consuming and labour-intensive and enables syntheses in which time-critical parameters such as compliance with a dosing rate are unavoidable. Automated sampling from the reactor vessel allows subsequent recording of parameters via external analyses that cannot be recorded directly by sensors in the plant, such as the acid number of polycondensation resins or the particle size of forming polymer dispersions. The computer technology of the plant seamlessly records all measurement and control values. The almost complete automation of the syntheses enables a high degree of reproducibility between synthesis processes with the same recipe and a high accuracy of dosing rates and other time-critical processes. It is fully computer-controlled and, thanks to automation via programmable recipes, enables otherwise time-consuming polymer syntheses to be carried out largely automatically under reproducible conditions. The plant has four batch reactors with a volume of 500 ml each as well as eight gravimetric liquid dosing systems and four optionally mountable solid dosing systems.
